It’s Never Too Late To Change
EINSURANCE.comTM
It’s that time again. Get out the legal pad, sharpen a pencil and make your New Year’s Resolutions. This year, along with the usual decisions to quit smoking, lose 10 pounds and call your mom more often, we suggest you resolve to save time and money by paying a bit more attention to your insurance policies.
Resolve to review all policies at least once a year. Changes in your personal and professional situations can impact your car insurance, life insurance, homeowner’s insurance and health insurance. Even something as simple as changing an address can make a difference. Are you carrying too much coverage or too little? Both can be costly mistakes. You can do the review while you’re watching a bowl game.
Resolve to pay on time. Missing payments repeatedly can mess up your credit rating, which can have negative consequences on the premiums your charged at renewal time. Enroll in your insurers’ auto payment plans.
Resolve not to let coverage lapse. It’s all too easy to do if you use electronic fund transfers and change banks, or if you do automatic account deductions and cancel a lost or stolen debit or credit card. If paperless billing has done away with your monthly reminder in the mail, add payment due dates to your calendar.
Resolve to have a happy, safe and healthy new year. We’ll see you in 2012!
